Jackson Jet Authorized to Perform Cirrus CAPS Parachute Inspections at Boise Facility

Boise, ID – Jackson Jet is proud to announce its FAA-certified maintenance facility at Boise Airport (KBOI) has officially been authorized to perform CAPS (Cirrus Airframe Parachute System) inspections and maintenance for Cirrus SR-series aircraft.

This CAPS authorization marks a significant milestone in expanding Jackson Jet’s piston aircraft service capabilities and establishes the company as one of the few maintenance providers in the Intermountain West qualified to perform the specialized CAPS line checks. The certification allows Cirrus owners to receive vital safety system service without needing to leave the region—saving both time and cost.

“We’re excited to bring CAPS inspection capability to Boise,” said Jeff Jackson, CEO at Jackson Jet. “This certification reinforces our commitment to safety, technical expertise, and regional support for the Cirrus pilot community.”

CAPS inspections are a critical component of maintaining the integrity of the Cirrus parachute system, which has become a signature safety feature of the aircraft line. With over 9,000 CAPS-equipped aircraft delivered, access to certified service providers is more important than ever.

Jackson Jet’s maintenance division continues to grow with factory-trained technicians, state-of-the-art tooling, and a deep understanding of Cirrus aircraft. The KBOI-based shop is now equipped to offer CAPS line checks, including rocket motor inspections, reef cutter replacements, and repacks in accordance with manufacturer and FAA guidance.
